Lemonade – Its not a pink slip, its a blank page

I came across this concept and site just over a year ago, just after I made the decision to fire one of my biggest clients, and along with it an additional 12 months of secured income into the company, while I was doing some research I came across this trailer below which really caught my eye.

This film has really made me think how my career has turned out over the past 8 years from working through my degree in politics to working in property and then advertising and sales to where I am now, doing a job I love, a job where I can easily do an 18 hour day and get up the next day after little sleep and think, right that was fun, I could do it again. It also makes me thing about all the people I know who have ideas for a business they want to start, but the security of a full time job and a monthly pay packet are too much like a security blanket. If your one of those people, then I hope you watch this trailer and think, what if my job just goes, what then.

What’s Lemonade the movie all about? What do people who were once paid to be creative for a living do when they’re laid off? They get creative with their own lives. Lemonade is an inspirational film about 16 advertising professionals who lost their jobs and found their calling, encouraging people to listen to that little voice inside their head that asks, “What if?”
